Overview: Provides a very well told and detailed story of the Maestro's early years. This was supposed to be the first book in a two part series.* Graham Wade passed on the following information about the second autobiograhpy:

" You ask whether Segovia`s second autobiography was ever written. Well, it was, some forty pages of it, in Spanish. He gave me a copy and asked me to find a publisher for him, which I did. However, the 40 pages are not terribly good in terms of information and deal with his early visits to South America. Segovia was incapable of writing a truly revealing autoiobgraphy, and (as my new book, A New Look at Segovia, His Life His Music explores), his published autobiography, based on articles in Guitar Review around 1947, contains much that is more mythological than factual.His failure to write a proper autobiography of his whole life is bound up with so many of his fundamental concepts of what to present to the public. "
